Getting to Taos

Santa Fe Regional Airport: The Santa Fe airport is an hour and a half drive from downtown Taos, however, connections can be limited. There is a shuttle that runs between Santa Fe airport and downtown Taos. Rental cars are also available at the airport (recommend reserving a car ahead).

Albuquerque International Sunport: is a two and a half hour drive from downtown Taos. Rental cars are available at the airport (recommend reserving a car ahead).

Taos Regional Airport: Taos "airport" is a small air strip that services JSX and Contour airlines, offering direct flights from Denver, Austin, Dallas, Burbank, and San Diego. Flight times are limited.

We’ll kick things off with a Welcome Party on the evening of 11 September. Venue details to come, but if you arrive mid-afternoon you’ll be perfectly timed.

How does one get around in Taos?

We will provide round trip transportation to each of our events, however, if you plan to explore Taos on your own, we recommend renting a car, as Uber and taxi services are limited. Here are a couple of local options:

  1. NCRTD Buses “Blue Buses”: free public transportation in and around Taos. In addition to local routes, NCRTD also offers services between Taos and Santa Fe.

  2. Taos Shuttle & Taxi: +1 (575) 779-5641 Providing transportation between Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos, as well as taxi services within Taos and to Taos Ski Valley. (recommend booking ahead).

Variable! The weather in the mountains is unpredictable. While September temperatures typically average in the low to mid 70’s during the day with colder temperatures in the evening.
